Do I have to climb with my children?

Do Parents Need to Climb?

While Clip ‘n Climb Leeds is a fantastic experience for children, many parents enjoy climbing alongside their kids—especially if you enjoy heights! However, it’s completely up to you whether or not you join in on the climbing fun. Whether you want to challenge yourself or just watch, the choice is yours.

Safety Briefing Requirement

If you do decide to join your child in the climbing arena, you are required to attend the Safety Briefing before entering. This is a mandatory safety procedure that ensures everyone understands the rules and how to stay safe while climbing. The safety briefing is designed for both adults and children, so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Free of Charge

The great news is that joining the safety briefing is free of charge! There’s no additional cost for parents or guardians who want to attend the briefing and participate in the climbing experience with their children.

Wristband Access

After completing the safety briefing, you will be issued a blue wristband. This wristband is your key to entry—without it, you will not be permitted to access the climbing arena. It’s essential that everyone who wishes to climb wears a wristband for safety reasons.

So, whether you’re climbing or just supporting your child, we want to make sure you have a safe and memorable experience. If you have any questions about the briefing or wristbands, feel free to ask our team!

Appropriate Footwear

For your safety and comfort, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and trainers while climbing. Athletic shoes or running shoes provide the best grip and support for climbing. Open-toed shoes, boots, or high-heeled shoes are not permitted in the climbing arena, as they can affect your stability and safety on the walls.

Tying Back Long Hair

If you have long hair, please make sure it is securely tied back before you enter the climbing area. Loose or dangling hair can be a safety hazard, as it may get caught in the climbing equipment or obstruct your view while climbing.
